Vampire’s Kiss

Nicolas Cage’s outré acting style first fully flowered in his portrayal of an effete New York literary agent who, when not chasing one-night-stands or terrorizing a demure coworker (Maria Conchita Alonso), comes to believe he’s a vampire. The film is a fairly standard ‘80s indie, but Cage does something coconuts in every scene, which seems to be the point. -Lee Gardner
