People think they love Jim Jarmusch for his quirks, but they return for his eye for the bittersweet. In these three vignettes, grown children fail to connect with an aging parent and each other. They deceive and grandstand for attention or remain quietly bereft of it. They marvel at the passing of love, with only stuff left behind to mark its wake.
