Dr. No

It’s easy to forget that James Bond’s big breakout mostly lacked gadgets and boffo action sequences and sky-high body counts. All it really had going for it was a Scottish ex-bodybuilder already losing his hair. Sean Connery just is Bond, his smolder and low-key physical grace moving him through the plot, the scraps, and the clinches with appropriate ease and menace.
