The second greatest reggae film ever (after The Harder They Come) casts drummer Leroy “Horsemouth” Wallace as a hustling musician trying to make the scene and make a little cash only to be thwarted by crooked club owners. Will he come out on top? Rockers lacks THTC’s outlaw urgency but makes up for it with good vibes and killer musical performances, e.g. Burning Spear’s a cappella “Jah No Dead.”
