Steal This Story, Please! tells the story of iconic independent journalist Amy Goodman, who’s personal story, warm and radical spirit, and utterly fearless work as a journalist are interwoven with the monumental events she has covered over the years. The film highlights the critical role of journalism in shaping our understanding of the world–and in compelling action. It also lays bare the devastating consequences of profit-driven erosion of the media and the deliberate dismantling of independent journalism.
Following Saturday, May 2nd’s 7PM screening, The Charles Theatre will host Amy Goodman and Co-Directors/Co-Producers Carl Deal and Tia Lessin for a Q&A, moderated by Dr. Karsonya “Kaye” Wise Whitehead, host of Today With Dr. Kaye on WEAA.
